We stayed in the Bungalows for 3 nights with 4 friends and had an amazing time there! The bungalows are unique and so cosy, the cooking are outside really makes you experience the Rainforest life, so unique!
Ed, the owner, is a great guy and made our stay one we will never forget: welcoming us, giving us tips and tricks for the area, even invited us for a BBQ at his place, showed us how to split open Coconuts with his axe… and so on! The personal approach makes this stay amazing, thanks Ed! Hope to see you again one day.
People who are contemplating staying here, no doubts necessary, go for this experience, you will be in good hands!

I just wanted to say that the Daintree Bungalows is a fabulous place to stay! I was recommended to stay here by my boss and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Ed the owner is very personable and welcoming as soon as we arrived. He sat down with us and took us through the hot spots in the Daintree that made it very helpful to get around and discover the wonders of this beautiful place.
The cabins themselves are very unique and special, hand made by Ed and include everything you need to make your stay comfortable. It was a perfect place to get away and loose yourself as there is no reception, TV’s or commercial distractions, just what we needed! We really did have the most wonderful time and we both wanted to thank you for your hospitality. Really hope to get back there at the end of the year again.
Thanks again Ed

We reckon this would be one of the best options in the area. Ed’s bungalows are hand made and Ed himself makes a great host from the minute you arrive. After taking time to sit with us and share a beer, he ran through all of the things to do and places to eat in the area.
The bungalows are well equipped and comfortable. The nights are good to sleep listening to the noises of the rainforest. All of the huts have electricity and ensuites however, there is no fridge (there are fridges in the cabins now – Ed), just an Esky which is perfect! There is a communal sitting area with a BBQ and plenty of utensils to use to knock something up if you choose. The location is good, but to explore the area you would need a car. The beaches are awesome and the scenery in the forest is amazing. If you are a keen walker definitely attempt the Mt Sorrow walk! It makes the board walks seem child’s play!
We thoroughly enjoyed our semi camping experience here and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area, it will totally enhance your overall experience of Cape trib!

Eddie made us very welcome and was always there when we needed anything. His bungalows, while basic, have exactly what you need – comfortable bed and screens to keep the insects out! We loved it, nice picturesque setting, enough facilities despite no mains power, and the ideal base from which to explore the Daintree Rainforest.

The bungalows are basic but have all the things you need. Eddie, the owner, is a very good guy and does his best to accommodate guests. It is a great place to rough it.
Note given how dark the area gets a night (no street lights and off the grid), it is best to arrive during daylight hours as it can be hard to find.

Finally made it to the Daintree, Rainforest Bungalows were a fantastic place to stay! Great value, Clean and tidy in a picturesque setting, We found it a good base to be able to explore from the Daintree River to Cape Tribulation. Eddie was a great host with fresh pawpaw from the garden and advice on things to do and see in the area. Will make a trip back soon! a wonderful part of the world.
